Today’s clinical case by Dr. Luca Sbricoli in Padua, involves a patient who presented with pain and mobility in element 14.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

CBCT analysis confirmed vertical fracture of the element and a small amount of alveolar bone remaining. It was then decided to perform alveolar preservation surgery using the Modified Periosteal Inhibition technique.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After atraumatic extraction of the compromised tooth element, alveolar preservation was achieved by inserting a 0.5-mm-thick flexible cortical sheet (Osteoxenon\u00ae Flex Cortical Sheet, OSP-OX09<\/strong>) between the bone and periosteum.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Flex Cortical Sheets offer the advantage of defined and homogenous thicknesses, allowing for predictable clinical results.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Flex Cortical Sheet<\/strong> acts as a barrier for up to 6 months by inhibiting bone resorption and, by integrating with the patient’s bone, increases thickness leading to an optimal aesthetic result.<\/p>\n

CBCT at 4 months after surgery showed good maintenance of pre-extraction volumes, with adequate mineralization of the alveolus…<\/strong><\/p>\n
