The case describes implant surgery on tooth 11 using the Multi-Layer Technique, which involves removing a tooth in the aesthetic zone, replacing it with an implant, the insertion of cortical bone lamellae in the vestibular area at the extraction site, and the conclusion of the procedure with the insertion of biomaterial between the implant and the lamellae and, if necessary, a vestibular connective tissue graft to the lamellae where the periodontal biotype was thin. The usefulness of cortical bone plates has been proven for years, and this case report demonstrates the effectiveness of using this device in the aesthetic zone, which has allowed for targeted and minimal intervention in resolving a late complication related to the fracture of a tooth previously treated with apicoectomy.
