Andrea Atzei

Dr. Andrea Atzei is specialized in Orthopaedics – Traumatology and Plastic Surgery and has obtained the European Qualification Diploma in Hand Surgery (recognized by the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand / FESSH).

Dr. Atzei worked at the Operative Unit of Hand Surgery of the Policlinico “GB Rossi” in Verona from 1993 (year of establishment of the department) to 2012.  

Currently, he collaborates as a freelancer at Private Facilities accredited by the Italian National Health System.

He has performed more than 7000 surgical interventions on elective and emergency cases in all fields of hand, wrist and elbow surgery and neuro-vascular reconstructive microsurgery.

Dr. Atzei’s areas of expertise are reconstructive microsurgery of the hand and arthroscopy of the wrist and small joints.

He is the author of numerous national and international scientific publications.

He is a member of national and international scientific societies in which he holds important positions.
