Angelo Comanzo

Dr. Angelo Comanzo earned his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Roma Tre University in 2009 and his degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics in 2015, with honors, from the University of Foggia.
In 2013, he completed an internship in the Department of Oral Surgery and Pathology at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Belgrade (Serbia), and in 2015, in the Department of Periodontology and Periodontal Surgery at the University of Catalonia, Faculty of Dentistry in Barcelona (Spain).
He has specialized in Implant Surgery and Maxillary Sinus Lift in Italy; he has completed the course on anatomical dissection of the maxillofacial region at Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University (Lyon, France); and the course on fixed prostheses on natural teeth and implants (Prof. Bruna).
In 2023, he completed the annual course on mucogingival surgery on natural teeth and implants taught by Prof. Giovanni Zucchelli at the Zucchelli Institute in Bologna. Lecturer for the Level II Master’s Program in Implantology: Surgical and Prosthetic Techniques at La Sapienza University of Rome for the 2024–25 academic year.
Professor of the advanced training course in advanced and regenerative implant surgery at the University of Salerno for the 2024/25 academic year. He collaborates with various Italian universities as a clinical researcher for the publication of scientific articles; Visiting Center IESS for Campania and the province of Avellino; founder and scientific director of the IESS South Study Club.
He teaches annual courses on basic and advanced implantology and periodontology. He is a speaker at national and international conferences. Member of the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO), member of the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology (SIDP), and member of ANDI (Avellino chapter).
He focuses primarily on periodontology, implantology, and guided bone regeneration (GBR), concentrating on soft tissue management and the use of biomaterials to reduce the invasiveness of surgical techniques as well as postoperative morbidity in treated patients.
