Matteo Borella

Graduated in Medicine with honors from the University of Padua in 2011.

In 2017, he obtained his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University Hospital of Padua with honors. In particular, he discussed the thesis: “Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with allograft (patellar ligament) versus autologous semitendinosus tendons: clinical outcome and proprioceptive capacity in the mid-term”.

He completed a 6-months training period at the “Centre Orthopédique Santy” Lyon France between 2014 and 2015, dealing with Arthroscopic Surgery and Prosthetic Knee Surgery. During this period he participated in 403 interventions at “Hopital privé Jean Mermoz” in Lyon under the direction of Dr. Jean Marie Fayard.

Since August 2017 he has been working as first level Medical Director at Ulss 1 Dolomiti – Veneto Region – San Martino Belluno Hospital in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, where he has already performed more than 800 operations as first operator.
