International publication on the use of Flex Cortical Sheet in GBR

Today we present a case report published in the international journal Applied Sciences in 2022.

 

The article describes the use of a 0.5-mm-thick flexible cortical bone sheet (Osteoxenon^® Flex Cortical Sheet) together with collagen-preserved equine-derived granules (Osteoxenon^®, Mix Granules) in the GBR of a three-dimensional defect.

 

Bioteck grafts have both the collagen and the mineral component preserved, thanks to the enzyme-based deantigenation process from which they are obtained (Zymo-Teck^®), and they remodel completely with the patient’s bone.

 

The use of the Flex Cortical Sheet enabled an important volumetric gain, and highlighting 5 main advantages.
