ASSESSMENT OF GENOX AND BIO-GEN ASSOCIATED OR NOT TO PLATELET-RICH PLASMA IN POST-EXTRACTION ALVEOLUS: A MICROSCOPIC STUDY IN DOGS

The use of an equine enzymatically deantigenated bone graft with PRP in a pre-clinical study on dogs

To improve the quality of the repair of alveoli after extractions can be used biomaterial. The objective of this study is to compare the bone healing process between Bio-gen and GenOx. We used six Beagle dogs. There were bilateral extraction of three premolars. On the right in the first well was applied Bio-Gen, was maintained only in the second and third clot Genox. On the left side was applied in the first well Bio-Gen + PRP clot + PRP in the second and third Genox + PRP. After 30, 60 and 90 days the dogs were euthanized, the jaws were dissected and submitted to the process for histological analysis of bone formation using the Image-Pro Plus. Among the groups studied Bio-Gen + PRP showed the best results, with an option for the repair of the alveolus.
