Awayr completely perfuses any graft removing air from deep pores through a validated system.
Awayr perfuses homogeneously any type of grafts, removing the air even from the deepest internal scaffold pores by a validated system. Validation of the Awayr system was performed through physical as well as biological studies. The purpose of this sheet is to describe how Awayr was validated from the physical point of view. The first experiment consisted in measuring the ability by Awayr to exert adequate negative pressure, not harmful for cells, and to maintain said pressure constant over time. The second experiment aimed at comparing the amount of liquid penetrating a bone graft by using Awayr (perfusion) with that penetrating the same type of graft by capillarity after immersing in the liquid of interest (imbibition).
