THE REGENERATION OF THE ALVEOLAR PROCESS IN AESTHETIC SECTORS FOR IMPLANT-PROSTHETIC PURPOSES

The sheet sums up the case of a 54-year-old patient who experienced pain in the upper front sextant. The clinical examination highlighted a deep bone pocket extending beyond the apex, on the right central incisor (element 11), splinted to the adjacent incisive. After removing elements 11 and 12, the procedure was performed using a cortical bone membrane (Osteoplant Osteoxenon, Bioteck, Italy) , and a Bioteck bone substitute in syringe c consisting of a 1:1 mixture of equine cancellous and cortical bone granules, sized 0.5-1 mm, and water-based gel. Two years after the regenerative surgery, the X-rays show peri-implant levels are preserved and no signs of bone resorption. Six and a half years after implant placement the prosthesis is perfectly functional.
