Comparison between conventional surgery and the computerized procedure in the treatment of the varus knee

The sheet summarizes the results of a study published in 2011 in which 24 patients with osteoarthritis of the medial region of the knee with varus deformity underwent high tibial osteotomy by addition. The patients, for a total of 27 joints, were divided into two groups: in group A (11 patients, 13 joints) the conventional procedure was performed, while in group B (13 patients, 14 joints) the patients underwent computerized osteotomy. In all the procedures, an equine derived and enzymatically deantigenized bone wedge was used.
