The use of enzymatically deantigenated granules in the regeneration of jaw atrophies

The implant rehabilitation of totally edentulous patients has been a routine clinical practice for decades now; however, jaw atrophies of different sizes can lead to situations where bone volume is insufficient to accommodate implants of adequate size. Guided bone regeneration (G.B.R.) using barrier membranes can be used in a wide range of bone defects in combination with osseointegrated implants to support fixed prosthetic rehabilitation. The purpose of this work is to illustrate a clinical case of guided bone regeneration (G.B.R.) using barrier membranes and the insertion of osteointegrated implants to support a fixed metal-ceramic prosthesis.
