TREATMENT OF INTRABONY DEFECTS CAUSED BY PERIODONTITIS, LONG-TERM RESULTS OF THE REGENERATION OF PERIODONTAL DEFECTS WITH EQUINE BONE GRAFTS AND COLLAGEN MEMBRANE.

The sheet shows the results of a retrospective study on 20 patients suffering from periodontitis, who were treated with regenerative procedures. Regeneration procedures have entailed using a bone graft in granules (Bio-Gen, Bioteck) and a collagen membrane (Biocollagen, Bioteck), both of equine origin. The combined use of the bone graft and the collagen membrane allowed a safe and effective regeneration treatment to be performed on a significant number of patients. Regeneration therapy has also been shown to be effective in the long term.
