The patient came to the surgeon’s attention with a bridge in the right posterior arch, to rehabilitate teeth from 4.5 to 4.8 included. Tooth 4.5 showed a root caries which made it no longer suitable to support the bridge. The extraction of tooth 4.5 was then scheduled as well as execution of a ridge preservation procedure on the post-extractive socket in order to perform, at a future time, a prosthetic rehabilitation on implants. The permanently compromised tooth 4.5 was then extracted and, without performing any flap, the socket was grafted with a lyophilized bone paste obtained with an enzymatic deantigenation process. The patient’s rehabilitation involved, after 6 months, the placement of two osseointegrated implants to support a prosthesis on three teeth.
