RIDGE PRESERVATION USING A NOVEL ENZYME-TREATED XENOGRAFT. A PRELIMINARY RETROSPECTIVE HISTOMORPHOMETRIC INVESTIGATION

A novel Freeze-dried bone paste of equine origin successfully applied in post-extractive sockets

This retrospective study shows that a novel freeze dried paste of equine origin, containing a new hydrogel named EXUR, is effective in terms of newly formed bone and residual biomaterial already at 4.5 months from the bone regeneration procedure.

The authors harvested bone biopsies at 4.5 months from the regeneration procedure. The histomorphometric measurements show an average of 43% of newly formed bone and 8.8 % of residual biomaterial.
