Hydrolyzed collagen reduces pain in meniscal injuries and post-meniscectomy syndrome

Today we present a case series on the efficacy of CHondroGrid^® in meniscopathy and post-meniscectomy syndrome treatment, published in the Italian Journal “Tabloid dell’Ortopedia”.

 

CHondroGrid^® consists of 4 mg of lyophilized low-molecular-weight (<3.3 kDa) collagen peptides, which are resuspended in 2 ml of water for injection. Once injected, the peptides quickly diffuse into the tissue going directly to reinforce the extracellular matrix.

 

The case series included 11 patients, of whom 6 treated following meniscectomy and 5 with meniscopathy, who were unresponsive to HA infiltration and underwent treatment with CHondroGrid^®.

 

The results show that CHondroGrid^® is effective in reducing pain > 90% at 6-month follow-up…
