Osteonecrosis of the femoral head: a clinical trial
Today we present a retrospective clinical study published in 2016, involving 19 patients with osteonecrosis of the femoral head.
The patients underwent FVFG (Free Vascularized Fibular Grafting Tecnhique) surgery, combined with the mixture of autologous bone tissue from the greater trochanter and Osteoplant Activagen Injectable Paste® bone graft.
Osteoplant Activagen Injectable Paste® is an injectable bone paste that adapts easily to the shape of the defect and to be used in combination with granular components.
In addition, Osteoplant Activagen Injectable Paste® collagen component enhances graft adhesion upon contact with blood.
The study results indicated that the Bioteck bone graft effectively filled the cavity left by the removal of necrotic bone tissue.
