IMMEDIATE IMPLANT REHABILITATION IN THE POSTERIOR SECTORS IN COMBINATION WITH A THREE-DIMENSIONAL COLLAGEN MATRIX AND A CYLINDER OF FREEZE-DRIED BONE PASTE OF EQUINE ORIGIN

Restoration of peri-implant bone volumes using equine-derived bone paste and a collagenic xenomatrix.

This article presents a clinical case of a 63-year-old, ASA 0, nonsmoker woman who came to our observation at the Civitali dental center in Milan, presenting with unrecoverable elements 26 and 27 and requiring fixed rehabilitation. Having verified the presence of sufficient residual bone to ensure proper implant placement, we then opted for immediate implant placement associated with maintenance of vestibular bone ridge volume using a cylinder of freeze-dried bone paste of equine origin (Bio-Gen® Putty, Bioteck Spa, Arcugnano – Italy) protected by a three-dimensional collagen matrix (XC COLLAGEN Xenomatrix®, Bioteck Spa, Arcugnano – Italy). Subsequent follow-ups showed excellent soft tissue healing and maintenance of regenerated bone at 9 months follow-up.
