Use of a slow-resorbing equine-derived bone substitute to fill the peri-implant gap

This article presents a case of post-extractive immediate temporary implant placement in the right upper central incisor concurrently with regenerative procedures to bridge the gap between the implant and the surrounding bone, using anorganic equine bone (AEB). The therapeutic choice adopted allows ideal management and maintenance of the original anatomy, as opposed to the typical bone contraction and consequent loss of the vestibular bone plateau resulting from tooth element extraction.
