Flexible bone grafts and bone chips can be used to assist in hip prosthesis revision surgery

Hip prosthesis rehabilitation can be considered a fairly common procedure and modern technologies allow the use of very high-quality hip prostheses. Despite this, the average increase in the duration of life and the increase in the number of younger patients who undergo this type of intervention, mean that there is a significant increase in cases in which it is necessary to intervene again after some time to perform a new revision arthroplasty. This case study shows the clinical applications of equine derived enzymatically deantigenated, flexible bone grafts to reconstruct the hip acetabulum with a grade III Paprosky defect.
