In this clinical case, enzymatically deantigenated bone blocks of equine origin were used to perform crest augmentation and subsequent implant rehabilitation in a 56-year-old edentulous patient.
After 8 months, clinical and radiographic examinations (Dental Scan and OPT) showed healthy tissue and a good amount of bone augmentation.
After 18 months after grafting, all 8 implants placed showed satisfactory bone density and bone samples at the CT scan.
histological studies have revealed the presence of newly formed bone.
