Use of a new collagen hydrogel to promote healing of periodontal pockets

Today we present a case report published in Perio Tribune Italia magazine, in which the new collagen hydrogel in syringe H42^® is used to treat 4 periodontal pockets.

 

H42® is applied in the non-surgical treatment of periodontal and peri-implant pockets following mechanical plaque removal therapy.

 

Its purpose is to seal the pocket, prevent re-infection and promote natural healing of the gingival tissue.

 

Due to its unique composition of type I collagen, resorbable polymers and ancillary amounts of vitamin C, H42^® has an optimal rheology that allows it to adapt to the geometry of any pocket.

 

Clinical results show how H42^® acts by reducing pocket depth and promoting soft tissue healing. The radiographic analysis performed at three weeks shows…
