MeRG® collagen membrane supports cartilage regeneration

Today we present the results of a case report of a patient with a focal cartilage lesion in the right knee, treated with MeRG^® membrane and published in the September issue of the Italian journal “Tabloid of Orthopaedics.”

 

MeRG^® is a bilayer membrane made of type I collagen extracted from equine tendon. It is used in the treatment of focal cartilage lesions.

 

Placed to protect the defect after initial cruentation, the membrane goes on to create a biological chamber that optimizes the action of mesenchymal cells in tissue repair.
