Bilateral sinus lift with collagenous or heat-treated heterologous grafts

Today we bring you an interesting case report published in the journal Implant Tribune Italian Edition that showed the different regenerative capabilities of collagenated equine bone (Osteoxenon^®) compared with those of anorganic bovine bone (ABB) in a patient undergoing bilateral sinus lift.

 

While Osteoxenon^® is produced by the Zymo-Teck^® enzymatic process that preserves collagen in its native form, ABB is produced by a high-temperature heat treatment that removes the collagen component and alters the mineral component.
