Hydrolyzed collagen reduces pain and promotes functional recovery in rotator cuff tendinopathy

Today we present the results of a multicenter prospective observational clinical study conducted in 71 patients with rotator cuff tendinopathy treated with CHondroGrid^®. The study was published in the international journal JSES International.

 

CHondroGrid^® consists of 4 mg of lyophilized low-molecular-weight (<3.3 kDa) collagen peptides to be resuspended in 2 ml of apyrogenic water for injection. Once injected, the peptides quickly diffuse into the tissue going directly to reinforce the tendon extracellular matrix.

 

The outcomes measured were VAS score, Constant Score and Simple Shoulder Test at different follow-ups.

 

The results show that CHondroGrid^® reduces pain > 70% in motion, > 90% at rest and promotes functional recovery > 60% at 6-month follow-up…
