Hydrolyzed collagen reduces pain and promotes functional recovery of class 2-3 osteoarthritis

Today we present a new evidence on the efficacy of CHondroGrid^® in the infiltrative treatment of Kellgren-Lawrence class 2-3 knee osteoarthritis.

 

CHondroGrid^® consists of 4 mg of lyophilized low-molecular-weight (<3.3 kDa) collagen peptides to be resuspended in 2 ml of water for injection. Once injected, the peptides quickly diffuse into the tissue going directly to reinforce the extracellular matrix.

 

This new case series included 5 patients who underwent infiltration with CHondroGrid^® and for whom WOMAC score, Lequesne score and VAS score were measured at different timepoints.

 

The results showed that CHondroGrid^® reduced pain > 70% and promoted functional recovery by about 70% at 6-month follow-up…
