One case of recalcitrant infected radius pseudarthrosis using bone grafts and DBM
Today we bring to your attention a clinical case involving a 38-year-old patient who sustained a right radius fracture following an accident.
After numerous surgical failures due to site infections and subsequent development of pseudoarthrosis, autologous components mixed with Osteoplant Activagen Mouldable Paste® and Osteoplant Activagen® Demineralized Bone Matrix (DBM) granules were grafted.
Osteoplant Activagen Mouldable Paste® is a ready-to-use collagen moldable paste with osteoconductive or aesthetic properties that can be easily shaped to fit the defect.
On the other hand, Osteoplant Activagen® is a demineralized bone matrix (DBM) that can support bone regeneration in a physiological timeframe.
At 60 days, radiographs showed ongoing graft remodeling.
