Immediate implant rehabilitation and concomitant alveolar ridge regeneration with equine-derived bone graft
Today we offer a case report of a partially edentulous patient who required implant rehabilitation. Clinical and radiographic examinations showed the possibility of immediate implant placement.
However, concomitant GBR was necessary for alveolar preservation and bridging the gap between implants and buccal bone. The delicate procedure was performed by sticky bone obtained by mixing collagen-preserved equine bone (Osteoxenon®) with A-PRF, protected by A-PRF membranes.
Osteoxenon® equine bone granules are obtained by the unique Zymo-Teck® enzymatic deantigenation process. This preserves the mineral component and collagen in native form in the bone granules, which undergo complete remodeling with patient bone.
Clinical results at 6 months after the regenerative procedure showed the excellent cosmetic result, while CBCT…
