CHondroGrid® is effective in pain reduction and it favors the functional recovery in epicondylitis
Today we highlight a further peri-articular area of application of ChondroGrid: the elbow.
The article, published in the Italian journal “Tabloid dell’Ortopedia”, reports the results of the efficacy of CHondroGrid® in pain reduction and functional recovery of 14 patients affected by epicondylitis.
In the present study, each patient received two ultrasound-guided peri-articular injections of CHondroGrid®, performed 10 days apart.
CHondroGrid® consists of 4 mg of lyophilized low-molecular-weight (<3.3 kDa) collagen peptides, which are resuspended in 2 ml of water for injections. Once injected, the peptides quickly diffuse into the tissue going directly to reinforce the extracellular matrix.
The results, also presented at the 21st ESSKA Congress by Prof. Giorgio Diaferia, show already at 1 month of follow-up, a 40% reduction in pain and a functional recovery of about 50%.
