Use of slow-resorbing bone substitute and equine pericardium membrane in aesthetic area

The clinical case involves the use of slow-resorbing equine-derived granules (Calcitos^® Cancellous granules, Bioteck Spa) in combination with natural equine-derived pericardium membrane (Heart^® pericardium membrane, Bioteck Spa) in a peri-implant guided regeneration procedure.

 

Calcitos^® is obtained by high-temperature treatment that allows its slow resorption by osteoclasts. Heart® pericardium membrane, on the other hand, is obtained by the unique Zymo-Teck^® enzymatic deantigenation process, which preserves its mechanical strength and medium-to-long protection time (3-4 months).
